How Can I Be Saved?

For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.

For whoever shall keep the whole law, and yet stumble in one point, he is guilty of all.

As it is written: “There is none righteous, no, not one;

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.

…The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel.

Then Paul said, “John indeed baptized with a baptism of repentance, saying to the people that they should believe on Him who would come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.”

So they said, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.

And this is His commandment: that we should believe on the Name of His Son Jesus Christ and love one another, as He gave us commandment.

For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.

...that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek.

Well, that’s up to you! If you are reading this article and want to receive this free gift of eternal life, there is NO reason to wait! God’s Word says,

Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.

2 Corinthians 6:2b NKJV

If you are not familiar with prayer, it is simply talking to God openly and honestly. In your own words, confess your sins to Him (He knows what they are anyway). Admit that you have broken God’s law. Receive God’s gift of salvation by declaring that you believe in Jesus’ finished work on the cross, His shed blood for your sin, and His resurrection from the grave on the third day. 

Confess Jesus as Savior and Lord of your life. Your life will be forever changed as you begin a new journey of faith in Him, surrendered. 

Your journey as a follower (disciple) of Jesus Christ has just begun. A newborn baby needs nourishment and care to grow, so too you will need God’s Word, the Bible, to learn and grow in your faith. 

You should also seek out a church (a group of other believers in Jesus Christ) that believes and teaches the unchangeable Word of God. There you find support and encouragement as your faith grows.
